"Intervening in an interconnected world, one is always, to varying degrees, 'inauthentic' : caught between cultures, implicated in others".¹ My work speaks to the moment of realization that one is 'other' than the dominant culture. In a 'Post Colonial' world we are in a "...state of being in culture, while looking at culture".² We are complex creatures, able to pick and choose points of reference. I join others in an awareness of 'non-identity', under a cover of ethnicity.
